CONCEPT
The idea for this building is to encompass form which gets at a unified and dynamic composition. In this design, we took into account of how the circulation would work since it has a major impact on how people would interact within this space
INSPIRATION
Throughout our design concept, there were multiple factors to be taken into consideration. Deciding where to place our building, we looked into the history of the city and how to convey it in our work. Every idea had a purpose when coming up with the form.
PROCESS
The group came up with an abundant of sketches in order to create a form that is able to encompass space and light. Keeping in mind that the space is for the people, we had to narrow down on the group of people the space is for and why they would want to be in it. Every micro decision we made, such as placing it in the city of Malmo, created constraints that helped us design an experience for the people.
To have a better understanding of the space, we had multiple scale models made to get the perspective of the form before finalizing.
REFLECTION
Throughout this project, the team struggled with the form. We were able to come up with constraints that tied down our overall concept which allowed us to create the experience we want for your audience. I do believe that this project can become even better with more time.
