IN DREAMS BEGIN

NARRATIVE ARC

A man named Joseph coming to grips with a fatal brain disorder that he was unable to cope with. In fear of telling his fiance, Sonya, he attempts to relive his happiest memories while dreaming only to come to realization that his condition is worsening. Knowing that nothing can be changed, he decides to tell Sonya about his condition and is determined to live the rest of his days happily with her. 

PRODUCTION ROLE

My main role is the camera operator. Throughout the production process, I have been  handling the camera and setting it up the shots.

During this procedure when we were filming in different locations, setting up was the most important since we needed lighting. I don't usually use lighting kits, so this became an interesting experience for me. I learned a lot through this setup because I was able to take varying shots that assisted us in our post-production. 

POST PRODUCTION

After compiling all our shots by following our shot list, we struggled through the post production part. This became essential because there are numerous areas where we needed to tweak in order to get the right feeling for the short film. Through this process, I mainly the sound assistant and that required a lot of time which I did not expect since I do not usually work on that. The whole sound process was back and forth where I had to get inspirations from other films to create a specific mood.
